Caller After Caller Expresses Concern Over Realistic Urban Warfare Training With An Americana Landscape

Colonel John P. Petkosek, Commander U.S. Army- Asymmetric Warfare Group, was a guest recently on C-Span. This episode was part of the Washington Journal’s series on C-Span. The Colonel was invited to discuss the 300 acre Asymmetric Warfare training center at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia.

However, caller after caller expressed concern over the realistic training with an Americana landscape. The Colonel framed the training into evacuation and rescue missions and shied away from the term combat. As one caller pointed out, the military has to train but the policy makers and those in DC appear to have other intentions.
