Amazon Rep Informs Customer Instructed By Federal Law To Remove Confederate Flag

Posted: June 24, 2015 in Politics

A user of the forum Godlike Productions claims he was told by an Amazon customer representative that the Confederate Flag was removed for sale due to federal law. Subsequently, the rep refers him to a CNN article that claims businesses made the decision. Did the FEDs or other entity apply pressure to these companies? At any rate, the flag temporarily became the number one selling flag on Amazon until the company pulled it. Meanwhile, you can still buy a Nation of Islam flag.

However, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, asked about the retailers pulling flags from stores, said those are “decisions for individual businesses to make.” He added that the businesses’ decisions were consistent with the president’s position. Earnest did not comment if any leverage was pressed on the retailers such as IRS retaliation.
